Caring for your infant’s teeth begins the moment they are born. From birth until about six months of age, you should clean your child’s gums. Gently rub a damp cloth over the gums after each meal.

Once teeth appear it’s time to brush the teeth twice each day with non-fluoride toothpaste or plain water. As soon as two teeth are touching, you should floss them every day, preferably before bedtime.

Between the arrival of your baby’s teeth and their first birthday, you should bring your child for a first visit to the dentist.

An early check-up can saving you money, in the long run, by preventing problems before they occur, making sure teeth and are working properly and the mouth is developing as it should.
