Board Vice President

Jay Molofsky joined the board in 2019. He shares a steadfast belief in the vision and mission of Open Door Community Health Centers.

Before his retirement in 2019, Mr. Molofsky was employed with Open Door, and he currently serves on the Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury.

At Open Door, Mr. Molofsky was the clinic administrator of several community health centers over more than 16 years of employment. Mr. Molofsky implemented and managed Open Door’s Homeless Services. He served as administrator over HIV Services across the Open Door system, and wrote the Ryan White grants to support the program. Mr. Molofsky led intensive case management and hospital interface programs. He managed the implementation of the Family Medicine Residency Program and managed the N.P./PA residency program as well.

Mr. Molofsky came to Humboldt County from Austin Texas, where he also managed FQHC Community Health Centers, Homeless Programs, and HIV Services. He has 40 years’ experience in health care, including communicable disease management, which he brings to strategic planning and oversight with Open Door’s Board of Directors. He chairs the Board’s Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management Committee.
