Patti Chico, MD
Doctor of Medicine
Patricia studied medicine at the University of Illinois, where she also completed the Family Medicine Residency, where she was one of two HRSA Health Disparities Scholars.
Originally from Chicago, Patricia fell in love with Northern California after working as an Ameri-Corps volunteer in Santa Rosa right after college. She has spent her career working at Federally Qualified Health Centers in Chicago and most recently in the mountain communities of Oakhurst and Coarsegold, just south of Yosemite National Park.
Dr. Chico is also a core faculty member in the St. Joseph/Open Door Family Medicine Residency Program, teaching the next generation of physicians how to provide high quality and compassionate and sharing her passion for primary care, women’s health and obstetrics.
Patricia’s hobbies and interests include hiking, backpacking, running, road cycling, swimming, yoga, reading, napping, cooking, and watching 80’s movies.
Dr. Chico practices medicine at Redwood Community Health Center.
