Open Door is committed to student learners and provides rotation opportunities at all levels. We ask that students apply no less than sixty days prior to the rotation request date.
Rotation decisions are based on several key factors including:
- Preceptor availability and site resources
- Strong connection to Humboldt and/or Del Norte County
- Strong interest in rural health
- Strong interest in an Open Door’s Residency Program
Rotation Requirements:
-
Immunization documentation
- Clear background check
- Current Affiliate Agreement with educational institution. Note, it takes approximately 30 days to set up a new affiliate agreement. An Affiliate Agreement is not required for shadow/observational experiences.
- Completion of Open Door’s compliance training (approx. 3 hours). Compliance training is only required for rotations greater than 40 hours. Open Door uses an electronic learning management system and training is completed remotely.
