Young children should be seen often for immunizations and well-child examinations (our pediatric providers can explain the best schedule of visits). Older children should be seen for routine check-ups every year.

Almost all Open Door locations have doctors and advance practice clinicians who serve infants, children, and teens, carrying out routine health screenings, immunizations and boosters, well-child examinations and treatment for acute, simple, complex and chronic conditions for established patients.

In addition, Del Norte Community Health Center, Humboldt Open Door Clinic, in Arcata, and Eureka Health & Wellness Center have dedicated pediatricians.

Eureka Health & Wellness Center also has an express, urgent need clinic in the evenings, Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays from 9am – 12:30pm.
