Lucy Stokes, Associate Behavior Health Clinician – ACSW

Associate Clinical Social Worker

We are pleased and proud to announce the addition of Lucy Stokes, Associate Clinical Social Worker, to our Behavioral Health staff.
Lucy earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. She also has a B.A. and a M.A. in Sociology from Humboldt State University.
Lucy grew up on the east coast from birth to age 21. She lived in Ohio, Alabama, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. She’s been in Humboldt County since 2003. She was living and working in Yosemite National Park and heard about a really amazing place in Northern California with a great State College. On a whim and without knowing anyone she enrolled in HSU and hasn’t left the area since.
After working as a Case Manager at Open Door for the last 5 years she is super excited to transition into this new role. She is looking forward to working with you all.
As a huge nature lover Lucy enjoys swimming in beautiful rivers, hiking, adventuring, and backpacking. She loves going off the beaten path and meeting people from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. Taking her cattle dog mix (Little Man) to the beach to watch the sunset is also a favorite outdoor activity. She also has 2 amazing cats, Pattycake and Monkey.

Lucy practices at McKinleyville Community Health Center.
