Quality Care
- Hands-on experience
- In clinic or at homme
During an in-clinic virtual visit, patients can expect a seamless blend of traditional care and modern technology. Upon arrival at our clinic, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff, who will guide you through the check-in process. Your vital signs will be assessed just like in a standard visit, ensuring that all necessary health metrics are recorded. Once you’re settled, your healthcare provider will connect with you via screen, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation and discussion of your health concerns. This innovative approach combines the convenience of virtual care with the personalized touch of in-person service, ensuring you receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable setting.
- A virtual PCP is a licensed medical provider (doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician
assistant) who helps you through video and phone calls instead of in person.
What kinds of appointments can be done virtually?
There are two types of virtual appointments:
- “In-clinic” virtual appointments: You come to the clinic like usual. Your care team
will check your vital signs, give vaccines, and do lab work. The only difference is
your doctor will be on a screen instead of in the room. We have great digital
physical exam tools so your provider can do physical examinations of the heart,
lungs, and even ears! - “Off-site” virtual appointments: These are phone or video calls from the comfort of
your home or work. These are best when you don’t need lab tests or a
physical exam.
Will I ever see my PCP in person?
- Yes! Your virtual PCP will work in-person at the health center about three times a year
to stay connected to our community.
What if I need a procedure?
- Your medical team will arrange for you to see other clinic team members (providers
and nurses) in person when needed.
Why would I want to have a virtual PCP?
- Our virtual PCPs understand and care about our rural community. They offer the same
high-quality care using digital technology and onsite care team members. Virtual PCPs help us make sure we have enough providers to care for our patients. - Virtual PCPs also provide a streamlined experience for patients who choose an off-site visit.
