Options and rates in your existing health plan may have changed, so take time to review your options. Open Door’s Member Services Team can help you make an informed choice about your plan.

Here are three great reasons to get covered right now:

1. Eight out of 10 Californians qualify for health insurance premium discounts, via tax credits. You could be one of them.
2. Tax penalties this year remain the same as last year: $695 per adult and $347.50 per child up to $2,085 (or 2% of household income – whichever is higher). Changes to the penalty do not take place until 2019.
3. Open Enrollment is the only time of the year you can sign up for Covered California without a “qualifying life event,” such as the loss or gain of a family member or the loss or gain of income.

Open Door Community Health Centers have dedicated teams in both Del Norte and Humboldt counties to help our community get enrolled, during the open enrollment period. These services are free and you do not have to be an Open Door patient to get enrollment support.
