Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation with the participation of Humboldt County Promotores will hold two immigration fairs in Eureka and Fortuna.
As we recently informed you, we will hold the Immigration Fairs up in Humboldt County on Friday, December 2, 2022 in Eureka, CA, and Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Fortuna, CA.
As always, and looking to obtain the best outcomes, we would like to work in collaboration with other local organizations/people to get the needed logistic support. Without this aid, we would not be able to help the immigrant community of the three counties we are projecting to serve (Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity.)
We need help in the following areas:
- Promotion of the events: Please, see attached the flyer in both English and Spanish to promote this event. Our Communications and Development Department will be in charge to promote them within several local media platforms. We are requesting to please share within your network. So, please provide your Facebook or Instagram handlers. If you are interested in helping with this promotion, we can print the flyers and mail them out to you. So, you can distribute them in local events and/or strategic locations.
- Assisting with filling out intakes: Helping prospect applicants fill out the intakes, mainly for Naturalization, and gathering all requested evidence saves everyone a lot of time and make the application faster and easier, as we did it last time. Thanks to the help of local organizations, we were able to process about 25 naturalizations, in addition to other legal services. We can send the electronic intakes for those who are interested in filling out, and we can provide a training to explain how to complete.
- Check-in tables to direct people in the waiting area: Welcoming the people and sign-in accordingly to our appointments list. This facilitates and allows us to optimize the DOJ Immigration Representatives time and be able to serve more people, including walk-ins.
- Other clerical activities.

Tal como recientemente lo informamos, llevaremos a cabo las Ferias de Inmigración en el Condado de Humboldt el Viernes 2 de diciembre en Eureka y el sábado 3 de diciembre en Fortuna.
Como siempre, y buscando obtener los mejores resultados, quisiéramos trabajar en colaboración con organizaciones y personas de la localidad para obtener el tan necesario apoyo logístico. Sin esta ayuda, no pudiéramos asistir a la comunidad inmigrante de los tres condados que en esta ocasión proyectamos server (Humboldt, Del Norte y Trinity).
Necesitamos ayuda en las siguientes áreas:
- Promoción de eventos: Favor de abrir el archivo anexo a este correo electrónico, el cual es el flyer en inglés y en español. Nuestro Departamento de Comunicaciones y Desarollo estará a cargo de promover las ferias en las plataformas locales de estos tres condados. Por lo que estamos solicitando que por favor proporcionen su Facebook e Instagram handlers. Si están interesados es ayudar con la tan importante promoción, Podemos imprimir los flyers y enviárselos, si no puedes imprimirlos. De tal forma que los distribuyan en eventos locales y ubicaciones estratégicas.
- Ayuda para completar los cuestionarios: Asistir a los posibles solicitantes a llenar los cuestionarios, principalmente el de Naturalización. Asimismo, guiar a los posibles solicitantes para que obtengan la evidencia o documentos necesarios. Esto permite a los solicitantes terminar su solicitud y que sea enviada en tiempo y forma a las Oficinas de Inmigración. Podemos enviar estos cuestionarios electrónicos para aquellas organizaciones/personas que estén interesadas enayudar. Podemos proporcionar entrenamiento para el llenado de estos cuestionarios.
- Atención en mesas de recepción en las áreas de espera: Será para recibir a las personas y registrarlas de acuerdo a nuesta lista de citas. Esto nos ayuda a optimizar el tiempo de los Representantes de Inmigración del DOJ, y de esta forma ayudar a más personas.
- Otras actividades.
