Humboldt County Board of Supervisors has recognized Open Door as the Best Place to Work in Humboldt. Thomas Steenblock, from the Telehealth & Visiting Specialist Center in Eureka, accepted an award on behalf of Open Door.
On behalf of Open Door’s board of directors, executive leadership, and all its providers and staff, I want to especially thank the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, the Dept of Economic development, the Northcoast Journal, and all those who supported us in receiving this award today. We are particularly grateful as this demonstrates to us that our workplace culture within Open door is consistent with the strong culture of community and support for each other that makes Humboldt County such a great place to live and belong.
Healthcare is more than a relationship of one patient and one provider – it is really the result of a community working together and caring for each other, and that is created by the experience our people have working for us and living in this community.
We are thankful for the continued opportunity to serve the North Coast and are committed to being a workplace that adds to the joy of living and working in our area. We could not be this way without the amazing support and contributions of all of you and our partnership with the community as a whole. Thank you again so much.
Well said, Thomas!
